چکیده
The closure time of the Shangdan Ocean is critical for understanding tectonic evolution Proto-Tethys Ocean. However, proposed was prolonged from Ordovician to Devonian. In present study, detrital zircon metasedimentary rocks Liba Group in West Qinling Belt analyzed constrain three youngest grains yield a maximum deposition age 418 ± 13 Ma, indicating Middle Devonian deposition. Detrital show two main U–Pb peaks 810 Ma and 440 with εHf(t) values spanning −24.3 +8.8 −6.3 +4.1, respectively, suggesting that sediments were derived both North South Belts. Lower shows similar provenance Group, whereas are absent Silurian strata Belt. From Late Early Devonian, setting changed subduction collision. This evidence consistently suggests disappearance noticeable decrease magmatism 510–420 420–390 shrinking −15.5–+12.8 −8.4–+4.2 reveal Ocean, as eastmost embranchment closed at ca. 420 Ma.

Archaean–Proterozoic transition: geochemistry, provenance and tectonic setting of metasedimentary rocks in central Fennoscandian Shield, Finland
The central part of the Fennoscandian Shield in Finland is composed of the Palaeoproterozoic Svecofennian domain and the Archaean Karelian craton with a Palaeoproterozoic allochthonous and autochthonous cover. A cryptic suture separating these areas and another tentative suture dividing the Svecofennian into central and southern parts have been proposed. The chemical composition of sedimentary ...
متن کاملNoble gases fingerprint a metasedimentary fluid source in the Macraes orogenic gold deposit, New Zealand
The world-class Macraes orogenic gold deposit (∼10Moz resource) formed during the late metamorphic uplift of a metasedimentary schist belt in southern New Zealand. Mineralising fluids, metals and metalloids were derived from within the metasedimentary host. Helium and argon extracted from fluid inclusions in sulphide mineral grains (three crush extractions from one sample) have crustal signatur...
متن کاملOre mineralogy and fluid inclusions constraints on genesis of the Muteh gold deposit (western Iran)
The Muteh gold deposit (NE of Golpaygan) in the central part of intrusive-metamorphic belt of Sanandaj-Sirjan zone comprises NW-SE trending gold-quartz vein occurred in metamorphic complex. Gold mineralization is associated with quartz veins that formed during regional deformation across the mylonitic zones in metamorphic rocks of predominantly meta-volcanic, gneiss and schist. The sulfidation ...
متن کاملPetrology, tectonic setting and ore mineralization potential of basic rocks in north of Alvand complex, using amphibole and plagioclase composition
The Alvand complex (Hamedan province) comprises several bodies ranging from acidic to intermediate and basic compositions intruded in the regional metamorphic sequence of the area (the Hamedan phyllites) during various magmatic episodes in Jurassic. In northern part of the complex (the Cheshmeh-ghasaban area) there are some outcrops of hornblende gabbro and olivine gabbronorite. The olivine-gab...
متن کاملThe Distribution and Composition Characteristics of Siliceous Rocks from Qinzhou Bay-Hangzhou Bay Joint Belt, South China: Constraint on the Tectonic Evolution of Plates in South China
The Qinzhou Bay-Hangzhou Bay joint belt is a significant tectonic zone between the Yangtze and Cathaysian plates, where plentiful hydrothermal siliceous rocks are generated. Here, the authors studied the distribution of the siliceous rocks in the whole tectonic zone, which indicated that the tensional setting was facilitating the development of siliceous rocks of hydrothermal genesis. According...
